In 2010, SAEC released the SLA-500, a high-quality LAN cable for audio applications, developed in collaboration with Swedish cable manufacturer SUPRA. While traditional LAN cables for PC use have been designed solely for accurate data transmission, digital audio applications require a high-quality LAN cable with thorough noise suppression.
SAEC SLA-500 employs SUPRA’s original OFC conductors. The LAN cable achieves accurate impedance matching at 100 Ω, a wide frequency range, low crosstalk, low attenuation, high shielding effectiveness, low return loss, and uniform transmission speeds for each conductor, all of which are essential for LAN cables.
Low return loss and a 1300 MHz wide frequency band of the cable correspond to Cat-6 Ethernet cables.
